Mayhem Poets

The Mayhem Poets are a diverse and dynamic courageous collective of young writers and entertainers dedicated to bringing slam and performance poetry into university, high school, middle school, and elementary school settings. Performance poetry is an accessible, appealing art form that can motivate students to foster an appreciation for both classic and contemporary poetic/theatrical expression.
Utilizing hip-hop rhythms and dynamic theatrical techniques, the Mayhem Poets have developed powerful performances and workshops to inspire people of all ages and backgrounds to craft and perform original poetry.
Topics include: Creative Writing, Creative Expression, Current Events, Dance, Music and Socialization
