Oakville Symphony Orchestra

Founded in 1967 by Kenneth Hollier, the original twelve-member orchestra has now grown into a seventy-five member orchestra under the leadership of conductor and musical director, Roberto De Clara.  Dedicated to bringing audiences a variety of music while contributing to the musical growth of its members and the cultural growth of the community, the Oakville Symphony Orchestra's eleven concerts entertain over 5,000 patrons per year.  Each season talented Canadian guest artists perform with the orchestra's 65 amateur musicians and 10 professionals who lead and instruct various sections.  The OSO also supports the Young Artists Program by providing playing scholarships for young musicians each season.
